I still remember the first time I watched this video. I was in my friend's living room by myself. I remember not being able to look away. It would be years later when Eternal Sunshine came out that I found out about Michel Gondry(I first thought it was a woman even when I saw a video of him.).
For the most part, this video is seamless. The section on the water where the bridge is repeating is my favorite. There is a short conceptual BTS on the Gondry box set about him planning out the video. He has written out all of the beat signatures and lines up canned food and fruit according to each unique beat.
This is probably not the last Michel Gondry video I will post on here.
